Do you offer a direct booking option rather than having to go through VRBO?
Yes! Use the form to the right and include the dates you wish to book and a brief description of what brings you to town. You can still check our VRBO listing on availability before using the contact us form to ensure your dates are available. Using a direct booking option saves our guests from paying for extra fees that VRBO adds as a convenience fee for using their platform.
Is your cottage pet friendly?
Yes! We have dogs ourselves and appreciate the convenience of traveling with our furry companions. Pets should be leashed while outside.
Is the hot tub operational all year?
You betchya! Watching the snow fall is an all time hot tub favorite among guests.
Is your cottage open year round? How many nights can I stay?
Yes! During June – August we prefer to host a minimum of 3 night rentals. During any other time of year we have at least a 2 night minimum.
What is the cancelation policy?
We offer a flexible cancelation policy because we know life changes. You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 14 days before your check-in and a 50% refund if you cancel more than 7 days before your check-in. No refund is granted for cancelation less than 7 days before check-in. We do recommend trip insurance, there are many providers that insure your trip including excursions you schedule for that extra peace of mind. Cottage Location
Our cottage is a 1 mile walk, bike ride or drive into the town of South Haven. The cottage is situated right on the banks of the Black River that flows into Lake Michigan. It is about a 15 minute boat ride to the lake in the no wake river. Many guests have commented enjoying bringing or renting a boat and boating into town rather than other forms of transportation. The boat launch for South Haven is located at the Black River Park Marina and Boat Launch just around the corner from the cottage, note, there is a small fee to launch a boat.
