We have three bedrooms plus a full pullout couch with a memory foam mattress. The primary bedroom pictured above features a California King and private balcony overlooking the river.
Sleeps up to 8
We recommend no more than 6 adults to move about the cottage comfortably, however we know folks like to maximize their vacation spending and sometimes the kiddos are along for the ride!
South Haven, MI
Our cottage is a 1 mile walk, bike ride or drive into the town of South Haven. The cottage is situated right on the banks of the Black River that flows into Lake Michigan. It is about a 30 minute boat ride to the lake in the no wake river.
Two bathrooms
Two full baths with luxury waffle weave towels, hair dryers, and all the necessities. Pictured above is our downstairs bathroom featuring a shower/tub combo.
Boat slip and river access
We offer a 12′ x 30′ boat slip at no extra charge. Rent or bring your own! Check out Blue Water Boat Rentals for rental information, they’re located just across the river from the cottage. Our boat slip does have limited power available about 15′ from the slip.
Kayaks and gear
The boat slip is also handy to dip into the provided kayaks for a paddle on the river. We provide all the gear for 6 adults and/or 2 kids to kayak including 4 single kayaks and 1 tandem kayak.

Hot Tub
The hot tub runs all year ’round and has a spectacular view of the river and marina.
Washer/Dryer
My favorite T-shirt was dropped in the lake! No worries, our in-house washer and dryer have you covered. We provide the basics for laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Arcade
There is nothing quite as nostalgic as spinning up a game of Pac-Man or Donkey Kong to pass the time.
Stocked Kitchen
Well stocked with pots and pans from this decade, including mixing bowels, a crock pot, blender, coffee pot, and much more. Looking for something specific, just ask!

The property is clean and well kept! My husband, myself, 16 yo daughter, and 3 doggos traveled there to get away from the Christmas stress of staying home. My doggos loved the house and yard. The hot tub was clean and functional. The binder on the coffee table was very informative on how to use it and what the settings mean. We did not go exploring, but we spent the time playing games and doing puzzles. We ordered dinner out from The Kitchen, and it was delicious! We enjoyed our cozy Christmas!

We stayed at this property for a few day getaway and it was great. We brought our bikes to ride in to South Haven which was just a 5-10 minute bicycle ride to downtown and we were able to get to restaurants and other activities very easily this way. We also used the kayaks and brought our paddle board to go up and down the river which was very scenic and a fun adventure for us all. The place was wonderful and well equipped. We had everything we needed, made a few meals there and ate out a few times. We brought our dog and she loved hanging out with us and watching the action on the river. The place was very comfortable. We had our 8yr old with us and she loved the dvd selections and the game table. Check in/check out was super easy and I already told a few friends we should pack up our bikes and take another trip there to stay.

Had a great Labor Day weekend at this gem! This house was the perfect size for our family of 4 and dog. Fun to sit by the fire or on the deck to watch the boats go by. Fully equipped with everything you need. Great location- quick drive into the town and easy to get out of town without the traffic. Loved being able to use the kayaks- great for exploring the black river. Being right on the water was fantastic!
